After seeing a gorgeous jewelry waist belt at Anthro, I knew I needed one. But, I knew there had to be a more affordable way to add some bling to my waistline. This jewelry waist belt DIY turned out to be just right.
To make this delicate jewelry waist belt I just needed enough silver chain to wrap my waist,
A few jump rings,
A jewelled hook-and-eye closure,
Wire cutters and my jewelry pliers.
I started this jewelry waist belt DIY by attaching one end of my silver chain to one half of the jewelled hook-and-eye closure with a jump ring – opening and closing the jump ring with my jewelry pliers.
After attaching one end of the chain to the closure, I wrapped the chain around my waist. Measuring the amount of chain I needed to wrap my waist (at the smallest part), I then cut the excess off with my wire cutters (accounting for the closure, and trying to keep it from being too tight, or too loose).
Having the chain just right, I then attached the other end of the chain to the other half of the jewelled hook-and-eye closure, with another jump ring.
With both ends of the chain attached to both halves of the jewelled hook-and-eye closure, my jewelry waist belt was complete.
This jewelry waist belt is perfect. This accessory adds glamour to the simplest of frocks, without breaking the bank.
I live the way it takes this ordinary bodycon dress to extraordinary in 10 minutes, for less than 10 dollars.
